A Brief Retrospective On November 2018

Retrospective November 2018

The beginning of a new year seems to be a good time to look back on the old and look forward to the new, and so some type of retrospective just might be helpful before launching into new posts for a new year.

After employing a rather complicated mathematical formula (which involved using all ten of my fingers and this time some of my toes as well) along with the very reliable and soon-to-be-patented “Chicken Peck Selector,” these are the most popular posts from November 2018, our fourth month of “My Life With Gracie” Posts on WordPress!

First “Most Popular” Post

“My Life With Gracie…An Uncomfortable Truth” You can read it in full here if you’d like. (This was not the easiest to write as it touches on the relationship between humans and farm animals. For me, it showed Bessie at her best.)

Retrospective November 2018

Second “Most Popular” Post

“My Life With Gracie…Kinds Of Beauty” You can read it in full here if you’d like. (For me, I hope this was an affirmation of each person’s individual beauty and value beyond the surface.)

Retrospective November 2018

Third “Most Popular” Post

“My Life With Gracie…Thankfulness” You can read it in full here if you’d like. (For me, the autumn color palette was very nice along with the theme of thankfulness.)

Retrospective November 2018

Thanks for joining me on this retrospective which is a chance to look back and see what our readers enjoy the most! From new possibilities, to the mysteries of beauty, and on to the the importance of true thankfulness, November 2018 was a diverse month!

A Brief Retrospective On October 2018

Retrospective October 2018

The beginning of a new year seems to be a good time to look back on the old and look forward to the new, and so some type of retrospective just might be helpful before launching into new posts for a new year.

After employing a rather complicated mathematical formula (which involved using all ten of my fingers) along with the very reliable and soon-to-be-patented “Chicken Peck Selector,” these are the most popular posts from October 2018, our third month of “My Life With Gracie” Posts on WordPress!

First “Most Popular” Post

“My Life With Gracie…About ‘Going Bananas’” You can read it in full here if you’d like. (For me, this was as much fun to write as it was to draw! The bright colors and silliness of the illustration may have helped increase the number of views and likes too!)

Retrospective October 2018

Second “Most Popular” Post

“My Life With Gracie…About Becoming” You can read it in full here if you’d like. (For me, this is my favorite posts about Amelia with a reminder of how we are all becoming more than what we can ever imagine.)

Retrospective October 2018

Third “Most Popular” Post

“My Life With Gracie…Feeling Vulnerable” You can read it in full here if you’d like. (For me, this speaks to anyone who has felt “less than others” and even bullied. I think this message also spoke to a good number of readers as well because it was the only “Most Popular” post of all five months with a plain neutral background and no bright eye-catching colors.)

Retrospective October 2018

Thanks for joining me on this chance to look back to see what readers enjoyed the most!

October was somewhat different from other months because there were two main storylines. One was about Amelia’s difficulties with her first molting ever in her young life. The other was about Pearl’s dream of being a standup comedian. Hopefully it was her unselfconscious ability to just be herself that makes her so popular.

I was not at all surprised to see that Amelia’s real-life situation held two of the spots in this list. It looks like readers related to her vulnerability and her desire to rise above her circumstances, and your comments really made me feel like everyone was on her side and encouraging her. Amelia is a true sweetheart, and I hope her story has helped you to see yourself as becoming more than you can imagine as well.
